About the Session

With no cars on the road during lockdown, and the earth healing, one sound dominated each city – the sound of Birds. We started to notice the beautiful birds in the skies and around our homes. In this interactive session, highly celebrated Bird Photographer – Vidya Kulkarni will be taking us through the absolute basics of Birding which will enable each one of us to identify and appreciate the birds we see from our own homes.

Let’s get to know Vidya

Starting her hobby of photography in her golden age, Vidya is the perfect example of the fact that age should never be a barrier to pursue your passion. She developed a tremendous love for Wildlife, and birding in particular. In a short few years, she went from an amateur photographer to the go-to person in the birding community, with honours’ and felicitations by professional bodies like National Geographic FB – ‘Wild Bird Trust’, Photographer of the World, Nature Photography, Camarena, Birds Planet – Strabo Pixel Club to name a few. She also loves to strike up deep, meaningful conversations with strangers during train rides.

• Any 2 of your birding pictures to be sent to us before the session (optional)

• No professional camera
• No credit card details
• No prior experience in birding
