About the Session

Did you know that weaving palms is an ancient tradition and consists of folding the long, ribbon-like palm leaves to create mesmerizing patterns and designs. In this interactive and do-it-along session, our Knowledge Contributor – Madhushree Attal Rathi will guide us in making some decorative items and a simple, easy and quirky handmade gift using just palm leaves. At the end of this session, you will have a better idea about making multiple things from this versatile leaf and gain the tools and techniques to explore it further.

Madhushree Attal Rathi is a Chartered Accountant by profession. She takes time out from her practice to pursue her passion in craft and upcycling where her heart lies. She believes in living a sustainable and minimalistic lifestyle and finds immense pleasure in making others feel special and bringing smiles on their faces. Check out some of her work here.
