Understanding how to Read Artwork
About the Session
If you have always wondered what makes certain paintings and artwork so popular and why some pieces of art inspire an emotion within, then this is the session for you. In this interactive session, our Knowledge Contributor – Vaibhav Raj Shah will deconstruct a few artworks, thereby helping you gain perspective on how to decipher and appreciate these masterpieces. At the end of the session, you will be able to find details in an artwork and even make your own reading and understanding of it.
Let’s get to know Vaibhav
Vaibhav Raj Shah is a Visual Artist and Founder of ARTHISTORY+ and Endocrine Films – a Video Production house dedicated to Indian artists, the Indian arts and Contemporary culture. He has been a producer, director and interviewer of artist films for India’s leading Art Institutions and major Art galleries and Artist Residencies. Vaibhav was the official artist for the CommonWealth Games in India, and produced some of India’s largest public art projects in partnership with the Government of India.
